Welcome

Why did I start a blog about mountain biking? Well you can thank Hotmail. It's a real "beech" to share pictures and throw some words around them if you're trying to use Hotmail. So I'll try this format. Can't be any worse. Or can it? Time will tell. Why is this blog called "The Cracked Helmet"? First of all, I couldn't think of anything else in 3 minutes or less. Oh sure, "Mike on a Bike" and other crappy names floated thru my head. Most were too obvious, and others were too unrelated to mountain biking. Then I recalled my endo last year where I landed like a dud Scud right on a rock, cracking my helmet. Ding! ding! (imagine a dusty 17 watt light bulb lighting up over my head)... a blog name.
